Prager BurgPrague Castle

The site of the castle was established in 9th century, in 12th century was built the Romanesque palace. In 14th century, under the reign of Charles IV, it was re-built in Gothic style, the last reconstruction of the Royal palace made under the rule of Jagellons at the end of 15th century. It is the seat of the President of the Republic, historical and political centre of the city and state. Changing guards at Prague Castle every full hour from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. at noon sharp also with solemn fanfare.

Goldene GasseGolden Lane

Small houses built in the gothic fortification, the 16th century homes of castle riflemen and craftsmen. In 1916-1917 Franz Kafka used to work in No. 22. Now most of the houses are souvenir shops.

JudenviertelJosefov - Prague Jewish Town Dates to the 13th century but its presents appearance is mainly the result of a vast redevelopment action undertaken between 1893-1913. Only a few most sifnificant buildings were saved, the living testimony of the history of Prague Jews which lasted for many centuries. Yet these buildings form the best preserved complex of Jewish historical monuments in the whole Europe (The following sights are open to the public: Old-New Synagogue, Old Jewish Cemetery, Pinkas Synagogue, Maisel Synagogue, Klaus Synagogue, Spanish Synagogue).

KarlsbrückeCharles Bridge The oldest Prague bridge built in the place of the Judita's Bridge that had been badly damaged by a flood in 1342. The Stone or Prague Bridge, since 1870 called Charles Bridge, was commissioned by Charles IV in the year 1357. Altogether 30 statues or sculptural groups line the bridge, 15 on each side. On the right side of the bridge, the Crucifixion scene includes a large 17th century Hebrew inscription, paid for by a rich Jew accused of blasphemy. Midway across the bridge, the oldest statue, cast in bronze in 1683, honours a local martyr - St. John of Nepomuk.

NationalmuseumBambino - Infant Jesus

An early building from the year 1611 (architect G.M.Fillippi), 1634/1669 rebuilt by the Carmelite Order. The church is world-famous thanks to the Prague Bambino - Infant Jesus wax figure (of the Spanish origin), which was presented to the church by Polyxena of Lobkowicz (1628).

OrlojThe Old-Town Hall

The Town Hall was founded in 1338, in 1364 adjoined the tower with the chapel, in 1470 the Town Hall was reshaped in the late Gothic style. The Horologe is of the beginning of the 15th century, in the upper part every hour a procession of the 12 Apostles in succession appears at the window, in the lower-part is a copy of 12 internal medallions with the signs of the zodiacal constellations by Josef Manes.
